Information We Collect
We collect information in three ways.
- You give it to us. When you register for a Summit, join our email list, contact us, or submit a survey or testimonial, we collect your name, email address, phone number, law firm or practice name, mailing address, bar admission state, and any message you write.
- Payment details. Payments are handled by [payment processor]. We receive confirmation of payment and limited details, such as the last four digits of a card, but we do not store full card numbers.
- Automatically. Our site and tools may collect your IP address, browser and device type, pages viewed, referring site, and the date and time of your visit, using cookies and similar technologies.
We do not knowingly collect information about clients of Attendees. Please do not send us confidential client information.
How We Use and Share Information
We use your information to register you for a Summit, process payment, send logistics and receipts, deliver the program, respond to your questions, send event announcements and newsletters you have agreed to receive, improve the site and our events, and meet legal obligations.
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with:
- Service providers that help us run PYOT, such as payment processing, email delivery, registration and website hosting, survey tools, and mailing services, under terms that limit their use of your data.
- Venues and hotel partners, when needed for event logistics such as headcount, meal needs, or accessibility requests.
- Other Attendees, only if you opt in to a shared attendee list or networking directory.
- Authorities or advisers, when the law requires it or to protect our rights, or in a sale or transfer of the business.
